Anthem Blue Cross Patient Safety First - Cynosure Health

PROJECT AIMS:

Cynosure Health worked to reduce mortality from septic shock, severe sepsis, early elective deliveries, and Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infections (CLABSI).

RESULTS:

The project included key stakeholders from various geographic regions and 95 percent of the hospitals within the state to target zero medical errors and reduce healthcare costs to allow for reinvestment into the system. Patient Safety First was awarded the John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Award in 2013.
