Beginning in 2011 through 2014, Cynosure Health provided support to HRET, 31 state hospital associations and 1,600 member hospitals through the development and delivery of clinical quality-improvement and patient-safety content to reduce inpatient harm and readmissions. Cynosure improvement advisors and physician advisors served as subject-matter experts for the 11 clinical topics; created change packages and checklists; and provided in-person and virtual training, coaching, and mentoring to build improvement capability and capacity across the U.S.

The AHA/HRET-HEN prevented more than 92,000 harms with an estimated cost savings in excess of $988 million.
